A National Youth Corper named Abdullah Busayomi Amusat was allegedly abducted by kidnappers while travelling to his deployed state in Taraba.

According to the information gathered, he was travelling from Lagos, his place of residence, and was on the Kogi highway when he got kidnapped.

His abductors are asking for ten million naira before he can be released but efforts by family and friends have not met the target.

His loved ones are in panic as he has spent days with his abductors and failure to deliver the money may bring consequences.

His family is calling on well-meaning Nigerians and the NYSC government themselves to donate money for Busayomi’s cause.

Netizens wonder why the Federal government will send Nigerian youths to states infamously known for insecurity and insurgency. They advise that corps members are deployed to places that are safe to an extent.

People are advocating for the release of the young man who they said was a responsible, kind-hearted fellow who only wanted to serve his country.
